Golfing

At Park Falls Country ClubMellen Golf CourseWestwood Golf Course – Phillips, Apostle Highlands Golf Course, or Black River Golf Club. These golf courses have well maintained fairways and greens surrounded by the natural beauty of Wisconsin. These courses have green fees that are inexpensive and allow you to have fun throughout the months of May through October. A new challenge – sometimes the wildlife joins you on the course.

Hiking, Biking, ATV/Snowmobiling

SnowmobilerHundreds of miles of well groomed ATV and snowmobile trails offer exciting and picturesque rides for both novice and skilled riders. These trails run through the gorgeous northland landscape and are also used for hiking and biking. While hiking on any of the trails, exploring the flora and fauna is a great outing to share with family and friends. Near the Graf’s Häus a contemplative walk can take as little as 15 minutes walking along Butternut Lake Road or several hours as you bike around Butternut Lake. Two adult Trek bikes (male and female) are available for Graf Häus guests.

Cross Country Skiing

Within 30 miles, 8 ski areas are maintained for an invigorating and enjoyable day of skiing through 170 year old hardwood and evergreen forest along the Flambeau River over relatively flat trails to moderately hilly and rolling terrain traversing some of the most hilly terrain in northern Wisconsin.

Great Fishing & Hunting

Untitled4Butternut Lake covers 1100 acres (4 miles) for fishing muskellunge, northern pike, walleye, and pan fish year round. Every August is the Musky Tournament. Fisherman love Butternut Lake ~ summer and winter! Others enjoy summer water sports on Butternut Lake as well as winter showshoeing, cross country skiing and snowmobiling. There are over 800,000 acres of forest for hunting ruffed grouse, deer, and bear.

End your day of sport at Graf’s LakeSide Häus where you have a convenient place for cleaning and freezing game and fish.
